Stock alloy wheels

I have a set of the stock alloy wheels on my GVX. I have noticed a couple of things. One, every set I see outside of the pictures from sales literature are missing their center caps. Are the center caps of faulty design, or are people just not remembering to put them back on? Second, are these intended to be polished, or is there a matte coating on them? They also seem to have lathe marks...

Center caps are very popular among parking-thieves, because these are very rare and expensive... :thd:And it's very easy to pull them off....

Because of faulty design, plastic teeth that hold them break easily and caps fall while driving. Other reason is that most of the people which drive cheap Yugo doesn't bother about hubcaps, just throw them away

That wheel also has a dull look to it... How does one get these looking right? These aren't supposed to be shiny, I'm guessing?

Paint it with shiny silver and problem solved... and don't think about it, it's a Yugo!

There two types of rims, with and without caps. There are black caps and like polished ones. Stock rims needs to be polished like mirror. Everything that is different is not original. Original alu wheels are great, they are very durable. You can even make caps in machine shop and polish them, some people do that here, and it looks great. Painted rims look ugly, but here in Serbia, most of people paint them, because it is easy for them and they do not appreciate Yugo/Zastava. They think that foreign is better than domestic whic is wrong in this case.
Same factory that made rims for Yugo, used to make same model rims for Mercedes-it says all about quality. Cups must have Y logo.
